GSA 2, located in the Western Mediterranean Sea, extends on an area of 833 km². The MEDITS survey has been carried out since 2007, primarily during the second quarter of the year. The sampling intensity in the GSA was of about 7 hauls per year. The survey was interrupted two times along the time series, in 2012 and 2020.
